The responsibilities of this position include:
- Identifying opportunities for equipment and process improvement to drive continuous quality improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborating with the operations department and other engineers to explore the feasibility of implementing process improvements.
- Buying off machine setups for new product development.
- Assisting in process technology development.
- Participating in sourcing, evaluating, and qualifying new raw materials, tools, and consumables for all processes, whether in Avery Dennison Smartrac or with subcontractors.
- Evaluating and qualifying new designs.
- Documenting and preparing reports of all qualification and evaluation run data and findings using statistical analysis.
- Working with team members to resolve issues and drive project progress.
- Communicating work progress effectively to external parties (e.g., suppliers, partners, and customers) and internally to various departments within Avery Dennison Smartrac.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Material), Production Engineering, or equivalent.
- Combination of hands-on approach and theoretical capabilities.
- Good data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab) and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of tools design.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Good communication skill, able to speak and write in English.
