We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer Mechanical Planner to join our team at Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities for mechanical equipment in our cement production facilities. You will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all planned activities are executed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the mechanical maintenance plan for the cement production facilities.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify potential issues and recommend preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
- Prepare reports and communicate maintenance schedules to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in mechanical maintenance planning.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 9 to 11 years of experience in mechanical maintenance planning, preferably in the cement industry.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning principles and techniques.
- Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and planning software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
