The role
We are looking for a talented senior engineer with expertise in both front end and back end development to join our dynamic team. As a member of the Cards team within Flexipay, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for the Short Term Credit area. You will be responsible for crafting robust and scalable software that powers our card-related products and services, ensuring seamless user experiences from the frontend to the backend.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from enhancing existing features to building new functionalities, all while maintaining high standards of code quality, performance, and security.

What will you be doing?
Implement user interfaces and experiences that are intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing using modern web and mobile technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, React Native, etc).
Develop server-side logic and APIs using Python to support frontend functionalities. ● Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of software applications through thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software development, particularly in the financial technology sector, and apply them to enhance our products. ● Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and adhere to coding standards and conventions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies within the team, driving efficiency and innovation.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day
What we’re looking for
Experience: A proven track record of designing and developing web and mobile applications with proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies. Prior experience in financial technology or related industries is a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. Proficiency in server-side languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js is also essential.
Full Stack Development: Ability to work on both frontend and backend components, from implementing user interfaces to developing server-side logic and APIs, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers. Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude are essential for success in this role.
Team Player: A collaborative team player with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to share knowledge and mentor junior team members. ● Commitment to Quality: Dedication to delivering high-quality software solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
