We are seeking a Senior EDW Data Engineer for a 6+month contract role onsite in the south Denver area. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting individual who is able to drive into details and quickly provide summary-level readouts of the source data. This role will be onsite in the Denver area Monday-Friday during normal business hours and will be responsible for the following:
- Collects, evaluates, and prepares data analysis and/or other complex statistics on databases for a specific business unit.
- Prepares data quality analysis (DQA) artifacts, including recommendations and data profiles used in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate.
- Ensures quality control of databases through the development and maintenance of test plans and quality control procedures and may assist in development and implementation of measurement systems.
- Discover, analyze, profile and document findings on source data systems.
- Assist development team during the dev phase to resolve data issues and understand data constraints. Once development activities are completed the candidate will drive the initial system testing of the final application data output to ensure it is consistent with the source data system.
- Proactively drive to improve processes and methods around Data Analysis. This could include helping define standards and procedures; refining methods and techniques for information modeling, recommend tools to improve delivery timeframes.
- Minimum 5 years exp on Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and DataMarts Data Architecture
- Experience with SQL, Erwin data modeling tools is desired
- Experience Snowflake and/or another relational database required.
- Experience with very large databases and knowledge of communication domain preferred.
- Very strong communication skills as the candidate will be required to interact on a daily basis with all levels within the organization, including developers, architects, business users and management.
This 6 month + contract will be onsite in the south Denver area. This role will report to the office Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
