We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, imaginative, and experienced editor to join our team at DAZN in our Production hub in Leeds.
If you are a sport loving editor, with extensive experience delivering fast-turnaround projects and meeting tight broadcast deadlines, then this could be a great role for you.
You'll collaborate with various production teams to edit a wide range of engaging sports content, including magazine shows, highlight programmes, and original content. You'll also work closely with producers, bringing your own creative ideas to each project and communicating them effectively. As a Senior member of the team, you'll lead by example, providing support and guidance to other editors within the business.
Due to the nature of the sporting calendar, you need to be prepared to work to a flexible schedule that will include early starts, late finishes & weekend shifts as dictated by the global sporting calendar. You'll also offer live broadcast support on location as needed.
As our new Senior Editor, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Edit a range of content with strong creative flair.
- Work on both long and short-form content that promotes a wide range of sports to a global audience.
- Produce work that adheres to quality control specifications and required technical standards.
- Exercise strong editorial judgment appropriate to content needs.
- Utilise your experience working on both long and short-form content.
- Leverage your experience to enhance DAZNs editorial output.
- Ensure all editing output aligns with brand standards and the DAZN style guide.
You'll have:
- Exceptional skills in Premiere and Avid based editing software.
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast delivery specifications for both UK and global markets.
- Comprehensive understanding of file formats and codecs for social media.
- Strong grasp of technical workflows and delivery processes for both broadcast and digital media.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet production deadlines, and manage time effectively.
- Experience in colour grading using Premiere Pro for a variety of content and camera rushes.
- Proficiency in managing the delivery of multi-format programme files.
- Capability to adhere to precise briefs while also contributing creative ideas when appropriate.
- Solid understanding of other broadcast applications, eg Adobe After Effects, Boris and Sapphire plug-ins.
- Ability to work well and communicate within a team environment.
- Leadership skills to assist in the development and improvement of a team of editors.
- Ability to set your own priorities & targets for assigned tasks & manage your own time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
