Position Summary: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining the complex distributed systems that power our data acquisition and processing pipelines. You will work closely with other engineers to ensure our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• Design and implement high-performance distributed systems for data extraction and ingestion. 
• Build scalable and fault-tolerant systems that can handle large data volumes and high throughput.
• Contribute to the development of our data storage and retrieval infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with other engineers to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system limitations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our engineering practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in distributed systems and big data.
• Champion continual process and practice improvement to ensure efficient and high-quality software delivery.
• Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing distributed systems, preferably in a data-intensive environment.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining high-impact systems.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation and Benefits: 

The salary range for this position is $155,000 to $215,000, depending on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. This range represents the base salary; actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors. In addition to the base salary, we offer stock options, comprehensive benefits, unlimited PTO, and generous company holidays.
