The Opportunity 
The Talent Placement and Program Operations team plays a pivotal role in supporting fellows, alumni, and corporate partners, with two core functions: Talent Placement and Program Operations. With a focus on efficiency and effectiveness to unlock insights and achieve outcomes, the team is dedicated to enhancing organizational operations by facilitating talent engagement and role placement initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes for both talent and partners.  Committed to operational excellence, innovation, and collaborative success, the team positions the organization and its constituents for continued growth and achievement in an evolving economic landscape.

The Sr. Director of Talent Placement and Program Operations is responsible for overseeing the pivotal functions of ensuring optimal program operations in collaboration with the programs team as well as fellow/alumni placement in suitable roles at corporate partners through coordination with the partnerships team. This role will drive alignment with strategic goals and objectives, and accelerate outcomes to maximize partner and fellow ROI. This leader will cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team, positioning us for sustained success amidst organizational evolution.

Work You’ll Do:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the Talent Placement and Engagement team, aligning its goals with organizational objectives 
  • Align with the strategic objectives of internal stakeholders including the programs and partnerships teams to ensure streamlined delivery of outcomes to fellows and partners.
  • Create strategic processes to help streamline the achievement of outcomes with role clarity for each team member

Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire a team of professionals, fostering a culture of operational excellence, stakeholder management, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the team with prioritization and help to manage competing priorities with internal stakeholders while removing roadblocks to success
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of team members, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Gain clarity on the needs of internal stakeholders to advise the team on priorities and direction properly
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance for program administration activities, ensuring efficient processes to optimize operations and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment of program directors, partnership directors, and organizational goals.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to program operations and partner engagements, implementing proactive measures to mitigate these risks.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the department, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Handle additional tasks essential for role efficiency and team success as needed

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in project management or leading organizational operations with a strong background  in change management, organizational efficiency, and process development
  • Proven track record of defining strategic direction and effectively leading medium to large teams
  • Ability to take responsibility for employees’ performance, by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring feedback and critical feedback directly with clarity
  • Experience in budget management, financial sustainability, and resource allocation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exhibited ability to use data in decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to build relationships across teams and lead without authority to achieve shared goals
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders including senior leaders both internally and externally
  • Excellent presentation, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills
