Chewy is looking for a Senior Director, Software Engineering Search and AI to lead the Recommendation & Personalization Engine team in Seattle, WA. The team develops brand-new user understanding models and systems to gain deep insights into the changing interests, intents, and tastes of our 17m+ active customer base.
Set technical vision, build customer recommendation models, and collaborate with multi-functional partners.
As a technology leader, you will own both the feature and platform engineering teams to deliver innovative and useful customer experiences. This is a high-profile position that will have exposure across the entire business, influencing the vision and implementation of architecture, design and features for these platforms.
The ability to craft Chewy’s long-term strategies and translate them into actionable, motivating, and measurable goals. Finally, you will be involved in high-impact decisions and initiatives undertaken by the company, giving you a front row seat to craft Chewy’s growth.
To succeed in this role, the leader must have a history of changing, innovating, and leading in technology. You should deeply understand the product goals and collaborate effectively across functions.
