We are seeking a Senior Director, Sales Operations to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.

Job Summary

The Senior Director, Sales Operations is responsible for overseeing the sales operations and administration functions in order to increase sales productivity, efficiency, and drive growth for Imprivata. This role is responsible for analyzing sales & pipeline data, sales trends, and metrics for the purpose of providing deeper insights to the go-to-market leadership team.   The role is also responsible for developing analytical and reporting frameworks that are in line with Imprivata’s business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement tools and processes for the sales organization that focus on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
  • Partner with sales leadership to drive territory and market share capture programs.
  • Identify customers and sales opportunities by analyzing sales data and consumer trends.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate insights to inform strategic decisions and drive performance improvements.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales pipeline analysis. Work closely with sales teams to establish realistic sales targets and quotas.
  • Develop and implement sales processes for sales teams, specialists and other representatives
  • Collaborate with other departments and executive management to identify key performance indicators for the go-to-market organization.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization, with a focus on scalability and driving significant growth.
  • Develop best practices that align sales data quality with company initiatives.
  • Demonstrate an ability to operate strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Analyze sales data to better inform future business decisions and provide data to management on how different products are selling by territory.  
  • Develop and implement effective strategic sales plan using sales statistics and best practices (internal and external) to determine a go-to-market strategy. 
  • Identify, coach and measure critical core competencies and essential performance metrics for sales team.  
  • Think end-to-end about how to meet customer needs in a detailed manner. 
  • Work with team to implement scalable sales processes and identity process improvement opportunities for cross-functional integration. 
  • Other duties as assigned and required. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or in a related discipline. 
  • 10-15 years of professional experience with at least 7 years in a GTM operations leadership role.                                           
  • Ability to collaborate internally and externally to solve Imprivata’s sales and customer issues. 
  • Outstanding analytical skills, including ability to deliver reporting that drives strategic decisions. 
  • Define and deliver sales compensation strategies to meet and drive growth. 
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and related applications (i.e.: Cloud9, Marketo). 
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and other analysis tools desirable. 
  • Proven ability to successfully manage projects from start to finish. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly in a very fast-paced work environment. 
  • Distinctive problem-solving skills, impeccable business judgment, and attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 

This position offers a total compensation range of $235,000.00 to $245,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
