As the Director of Business Development and Data Partnerships, you will be responsible for leading and actively overseeing all data and addressability-related commercial initiatives within the Verve Group towards the larger company vision of making media better through data. You will play a critical role in defining and executing the data strategy, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our data products drive our revenues and meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

This position can be occupied in New York City in a hybrid set-up or filled remotely in one of the following states: California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.

What You Will Do

  • Being the go-to responsible person with regards to data, for direct clients and agencies as well as internal

  • Enable market-making by understanding and building bespoke solutions for top-tier advertisers and agencies to fulfill their marketing needs

  • Driving the commercial elements of data-led media sales pitches including taking to market Verve’s multi-layered data propositions across O&O data, behavioral data, and contextual data

  • Identify market opportunities, user needs, and industry trends to guide product development

  • Active participation in external forums advocating around the upcoming privacy standards and use of data

  • Actively propose and structure partnerships across the advertising ecosystem to enable media to become more effective

  • Own client relations by regularly interacting with key contacts including clients, agencies, and data partners

  • Market and User Research: Conduct market research, gather user feedback, and analyze data to identify opportunities for product improvements and innovations. Stay informed about competitors and market trends

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and successful product development and launch

  • Product Quality and Performance: Set high-quality standards for data products, conduct rigorous testing, and ensure that products meet or exceed performance expectations. Monitor product performance and address any issues promptly

  • Data Governance: Be fully aware of data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate the value and progress of data products to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership and customers
