As the Senior Director of Learning & Development (National School Network) at Bezos Academy, you will determine and execute the strategy for how we prepare, train, certify, credential, and support our teachers and related school teams, coast to coast. Bezos Academy is introducing novel approaches, technologies, and practices to early childhood education while evolving Montessori-inspired curriculum and practices to drive better academic and developmental outcomes for children. Additionally, we are creating proprietary technology and assessment mechanisms that will make child outcome data transparent and accurate on an ongoing basis.
In this critical leadership position, you will report directly to the Chief Education Officer and will partner closely with our Superintendent of Schools. You will lead a national, cross-functional team focused on Montessori teacher development, school leadership development, and instructional coaching and facilitation anchored by our mission and leadership principles. Your team will design and deliver programs and initiatives to provide exceptional professional development to our entire school network, at all levels. You will draw on your history of innovation and your passion for educational justice to fortify and expand upon our preschool model as we scale. Using data, you will identify and evaluate shared learning priorities, effectiveness, and opportunities for continuous improvements which accelerate and improve child outcomes. You will adjust the assignment of people and resources while monitoring team deliverables closely for quality and impact.
You demonstrate exceptionally strong people and programs leadership, an ability to develop trusting and authentic partnerships across lines of difference, across all departments, and you know how to lead a dynamic, geographically-dispersed, and diverse organization through challenge and change. Above all, you share our ambition and enthusiasm for expanding access to high quality, Montessori-inspired preschools in under-resourced communities, creating ripples of impact for generations to come.
