Senior Director, Internal Audit

Location Details: 

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and our Santa Clara office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. The hiring manager can share more about what hybrid work might look like for this team.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

What you'll get to do...

GoDaddy is looking for an experienced leader to lead our Corporate Audit Services Team. In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Internal Audit function, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) functions across GoDaddy.  

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit plan that aligns with GoDaddy's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements 
  • Oversee the execution of internal audits to evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, ESG programs, and compliance with policies and procedures 
  • Lead the SOX compliance program, including scoping, planning, testing, and reporting on the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting 
  • Manage the enterprise risk management program to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact GoDaddy’s strategic objectives 
  • Collaborate with senior management, external auditors, and the Audit Committee to communicate audit findings, recommendations, and remediation plans 
  • Proactively engage with cross-functional teams and leadership on emerging trends, updated regulations, and best practices and drive continuous improvements. 

 

Your experience should include...

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant certifications required 
  • Recent public accounting background from a Big 4 Firm 
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, SOX compliance, and enterprise risk management roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position 
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., COSO, SOX, SEC, and PCAOB) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization 
  • Expertise in preparing and delivering professional presentations to executives 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments
