A Sr. Director of Engineering leads GuidePoint Security’s Government Solutions engineering department and is responsible for ensuring that it operates efficiently and effectively. This role will support the Federal Account Executive team to expand service offerings and provide a strategic and tactical direction on services engagements across the Federal Government market
Here are some of the responsibilities:
- Lead engineering teams: Hire, train, mentor, and manage engineering and developer resources. Proven experience in leading and managing a service team.
- Develop technical strategy: Create a technical roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic vision and growth model
- Development: Work to create new service offerings that align with the Federal market and educate team members on capabilities
- Inspiration: Possess experience inspiring and energizing a team by celebrating achievements, recognizing contributions, and maintaining high morale
- Knowledge: Proven track record of leading and managing large engineering teams in a cybersecurity context. Demonstrates a strong technical aptitude and quickly grasp new concepts, with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies. Have a deep knowledge of the cybersecurity market and a keen awareness of industry trends and emerging opportunities.
- Ensure projects are successful: Oversee the development and implementation of projects, and ensure they are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain quality standards: Ensure that products and architectures meet design requirements and deliver a consistent user experience
- Collaborate: Understand complete offerings of solutions across professional services technical teams developing strategies for customer opportunities, solutions for use cases and responses to customer questions.
- Engagement: Lead the development of responses to RFPs/RFIs, ensuring that proposals effectively address customer needs and differentiate GuidePoint Security’s offerings. Identify potential opportunities for growth within existing environments in addition to coordinating “break-in strategies” to establish net new accounts
- Collaborate with executive leadership: Work with the Sr. Leadership to develop and meet organizational goals
- Identify and implement new technologies: Recommend and implement new technologies to improve processes and decision-making
- Establish policies and procedures: Create and implement policies, practices, standards, and security measures
- Mentorship: Meet with team members and provide technical guidance and strategy for Services team across various verticals and technical abilities. Have an ability to coach individual contributors and foster career growth
- Solve problems: Be the go-to person for solving problems, such as when the team is struggling to meet goals or there is a crisis
- Be adaptable: Ability to pivot quickly in response to changing market needs.
Sr. Director of Engineering should have extensive experience in engineering leadership, proficiency in multiple cybersecurity verticals, and a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles (ZeroTrust Identity, Network Security, Endpoint, Compliance, Analytics, Insider Threat, etc.)
