Are you ready to play a senior leading role within a large regional team that represents one of the most valuable brands in the world?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Director with lots of hands-on commercial experience, based in Singapore or ready to move to Singapore, to take our team and our work with this client to the next level.
Your remit will include leading a large team spanning multiple markets and across disciplines including public relations, strategy, creative, digital, editorial, content, and production. Whilst this client is a large global technology brand, you’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of work that covers earned and integrated marketing communications, covering corporate brand reputation, employee engagement, executive thought leadership, investor relations, and product.
Working on both an ongoing retainer and large-scale integrated projects, you will lead, motivate, and inspire a talented team to bring their best every day. You will excel at providing clear value-add counsel that helps build strong and trusted relationships with clients and other senior stakeholders, and in the process helping forge a true partnership model between your team and client. You’ll also be proactive in understanding the business landscape and environment, helping your client to look around the corner and form strategies that enable them to be future-ready.
What you'll be doing:
- Growing and maintaining a deep understanding of client businesses.
- Overall responsibility in managing and delivering fully integrated campaigns exceeding client expectations.
- Consistently identifies the business problem(s) that clients are looking to solve and ensures they are understood by the team.
- Assembles, motivates and inspires integrated teams.
- Holds self and team accountable for performance, compliance, and ethical business conduct in accordance with firm values
- Measures, monitors, and advances client-agency relationships.
- Participates in client relationship mapping and development across a portfolio.
- Actively listens – asks smart questions, listens to what’s not being said, is willing to have honest, ongoing dialogue about what’s working and what isn’t.
- Identifies and acknowledges problems, offers solutions, and course-corrects as needed.
- Helps measure what matters – tracks progress and reports results based on agreed-upon metrics and achievement of business and communications goals.
- Participates in client budget management and forecasting; proactively addresses changes in scope and delays in client invoice payment.
- Brings in new capabilities against client needs.
What is required of you:
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in Communications preferably at top-tier agencies or client roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
- Passion for the societal potential of technology and preferably some experience of working within the Asia tech sector (though this is not a prerequisite if the job described excites you).
- Understanding of global sector trends, with a focus on Asia / Southeast Asia region and the ability to draw insights from this understanding to counsel clients.
- Stays up to date with emerging technologies and trends and demonstrates an understanding of how they integrate into communications programs.
- Ideally experience in earned media environments, with the ability to refine and coach excellent strategy
- Experience working in an integrated environment, including virtual stakeholder events, content production, and inspiring integrated teams to collaborate effectively to unearth the best ideas and executions as one team.
- Superior writing and verbal communications skills, specifically with the purpose of writing to persuade; demonstrated ability to effectively multitask, delegate and manage assignments and accurately evaluate others’ work.
- Strong communication – active listening and ability to persuade and negotiate.
- Confidence in presenting ideas and providing counsel to internal and external audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to manage competing interests, and high emotional intelligence.
- Good judgment and willingness to take risks and forward-thinking.
