How You’ll Make a Difference

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Compliance from the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry to lead Arcellx’s compliance program. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing healthcare compliance policies within the U.S., and globally as applicable, providing training to our team and keeping abreast of the evolving legal and regulatory landscape to keep policies up to date and ensure Arcellx’s business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.  

The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do

  • Establish and lead a risk-based approach to compliance policy development, implementation training and monitoring.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks, partnering with other members of the Legal team and cross-functionally to develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies that support business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Analyze events and trends in the legal, enforcement, and business environment to support timely policy enhancements.
  • Assess and manage compliance concerns raised internally or externally, collaborating with key stakeholders to determine, recommend and lead appropriate courses of action.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and investigations and present insights and recommendations to Senior Management and the Board of Directors, highlighting trends and potential areas of risk and proposing remediation strategies.

Skills and Experience We Look For

  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, including experience in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Juris doctor preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing strategic vision and leadership and advising on healthcare fraud and abuse laws, anti-bribery laws, data protection and privacy laws and other applicable compliance mandates.
  • Direct experience developing and implementing U.S. compliance programs for commercial biotech and/or pharmaceutical companies, including drafting policies and conducting training and monitoring.
  • Direct experience supporting new product launches. 
  • Experience with compliance related systems and transparency reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, business judgment, and ability to think strategically and provide practical, tailored advice.
  • Exemplary leadership, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Managerial experience preferred, as this role may manage one or more director reports in the future to support the company’s growth.

The base salary range for this position is $255,000 - $270,000 per year. Where a candidate falls within that range is determined by factors such as years of experience. Our compensation package also includes an annual bonus based on company goals and an equity (RSU) grant. We do offer relocation assistance for roles if required.
