Senior Digital PR/Outreach Executive

Location: London - Hybrid - 2 days per week in-office

The role

We are looking for a Senior Executive to join our Digital Earned Media team falling within the centralised SEO function. You will help to create, implement, pitch and analyse creative content and outreach campaigns across our brands, to build links and develop relationships with key sector journalists, with the aim of boosting organic search. Key responsibilities:

  • Managing in-house and agency outreach strategies, with a focus on at least two of our products.
  • Coming up with creative ideas for content marketing/outreach campaigns, specifically targeted to high authority and relevant websites and journalists.
  • Conduct keyword research and optimise in-house and agency campaigns.
  • Stakeholder management and producing reports to present to the wider business.
  • Conduct research to identify appropriate audiences for our brand(s).
  • Help to create content outlines and specs for the editorial team to communicate content needs.
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, SEO and the wider outreach team to see projects through to completion.
  • Forecast performance of campaigns based on historical performance.
  • Develop newsworthy press releases and content to pitch to the press.
  • Pick up last-minute news hooks to create expert commentary to drive reactive results.
  • Manage relationships with journalists from relevant and high authority domains.
  • Keep track and drive performance of agency and in-house campaign success and evaluate results.
  • Work independently to develop content marketing and outreach strategies for brand verticals.
  • Assisting and providing training to junior team members to help develop basic skills.
  • Develop end-to-end campaigns with larger scopes, incorporating cross-channel teams.

What we're looking for:

Essentials

  • Solid experience of content marketing campaigns and outreaching with the outcome of securing high domain authority and relevant backlinks.
  • Good creative and analytical skills which you can use to create and land results-driven web content and reactive campaigns for our market-leading brands.
  • Working and managing our agency partners to develop relevant campaigns to drive results.
  • Understanding of Google and other search engines or SEO best practices knowledge.
  • Understanding how content marketing/outreach can influence and drive other opportunities across different channels and the overall business strategy.

Desirables

  • Confident presentation skills to report results back to the wider team, especially to senior key stakeholders.
  • Experience with creating and delivering performance reports to team members, as well as senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of tools and content marketing techniques or resources.
  • Ability to help develop junior members of the team by providing constructive feedback and mentoring.
