Position:
We are recruiting a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Romania. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, excellent time-management and interpersonal skills, and a passion for developing fast and scalable websites. The ideal candidate will be experienced in CI/CD, leveraging Azure Cloud services, managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and PowerShell DSC, and working with Kubernetes and Helm charts to orchestrate and deploy containerized applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines).
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and PowerShell DSC for automated provisioning and configuration management.
- Automate and streamline deployment processes for applications and infrastructure across Azure Cloud.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, leveraging Helm charts to configure and manage microservices and containerized applications. Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure efficient and seamless integration and delivery workflows.
- Monitor and optimize the infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments, focusing on scalability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain best practices for DevOps processes, version control, and software delivery.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies (Grooming, Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives).
- Collaborate with fellow developers, designers and analysts to solve problems
- Assist in the deployment of releases and patches into the production environment
- Be available out-of-business hours for production support on a rotational basis
- Managing teams and mentoring team members and enabling them to progress in their careers
Requirements
Degree in computer science or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a DevOps role. Experience using the following:
- Experience with Azure DevOps: Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
- Azure Cloud expertise: Familiarity with a broad set of Azure services, including networking, compute, and storage.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform and PowerShell DSC for automated infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Kubernetes and Helm: Proven experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes clusters using Helm charts.
- Proficiency in containerization and container orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Understanding of security best practices for CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus.
- Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect) or Kubernetes (e.g., CKA, CKAD)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) Experience with GitOps practices for managing infrastructure and applications.
- Experience in working with microservices and distributed systems.
