As a Senior DevOps engineer, you will focus your technical expertise on evaluating and streamlining existing processes, identifying bottlenecks and working around them to improve overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilties:
- Identifying bottlenecks in current practices and addressing these by designing automation around Kubernetes infrastructure management, continuous integration pipelines and deployment strategies for containerised workloads, multi-tenant services and shared applications to meet time constraints.
- On other days you’ll be evaluating and driving forward, as necessary, new technologies, tools or frameworks to improve system performance and/or operational efficiency, always focusing on quality.
- Work with Solution Architects, and the rest of the DevOps teams’ members and act as a technical authority and define standards for the rest of the operational teams. On a different front, mentor and collaborate, setting clear and tangible requirements for the success of the organisation.
- Holds SRE practices at heart and strongly believes good observability practices lead to an intimate understanding of platform behaviour and performance, with which one may also proactively detect problems in not-so-familiar systems.
