Orkes is a platform for developers to build durable, distributed event driven applications.  Based on the popular open source orchestration engine Conductor, Orkes lets developers focus on faster go to market with applications, scaling them to handle billions of workflows without having to worry about failures, scalability or visibility into the executions.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Developer Community Manager to lead and grow our developer community. This role is crucial in building strong relationships with developers, advocating for their needs, and fostering a collaborative environment. If you are enthusiastic about open-source software, have a knack for community building, and possess a developer's mindset, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Community Engagement

-Build and nurture relationships with developers using Conductor Open source and Orkes Platform. 
-Actively engage with community members across various platforms (forums, social media, GitHub, etc.).
-Organize and host virtual meetups, webinars, and other events to foster community engagement and knowledge sharing.
-Respond to community inquiries, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive experience.
-Build partnerships with other developer communities.

Content Creation

-Develop and curate high-quality content, including blog posts, tutorials, and documentation, to educate and engage the community.
-Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute newsletters and other communication materials.
-Build inspiring demos, sample apps, and continuously improve the developer experience of our APIs and SDKs

Advocacy and Evangelism

-Advocate for the needs and interests of the developer community within the company.
-Represent the company at industry conferences, meetups, and events to promote Orkes Conductor and attract new users.
-Collaborate with internal teams to ensure community feedback is incorporated into product development and improvement.

Metrics and Reporting

-Track and analyze community engagement metrics to assess the health and growth of the community.
-Influence the direction of our developer products by gathering insights from our developer community.

Qualifications

-Proven experience in community management, developer relations, or a similar role.
-Strong technical background with experience in software development (familiarity with Conductor is a plus).
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to create engaging content tailored to a developer audience.
-Experience organizing and hosting events, both virtual and in-person.
-Passionate about open-source software and community building.
-Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

-Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with key influencers in the developer community.
-Confident and comfortable presenting to different types of audiences, large and smallAdept at communicating technically complicated topics simply and elegantly.

More Details

The OTE for this role is between $144,000 USD and $192,000 USD with base salary for this role is between $120,000 USD and $160,000 USD. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered: skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.
