Role expectations and responsibilities

Are you ready to revolutionize the heartbeat of our real-time distributed exchange systems? Join us as a DevOps Engineer, where your role isn't just about maintaining; it's about crafting and fortifying the backbone of our dynamic, 24/7 highly available software services infrastructure.

In this thrilling landscape, we thrive on self-service, automation, scalability, and the pursuit of elite engineering velocity. As the guardians of high availability, we place a premium on testability, reproducibility, and a robust suite of monitoring and alerting tools.
Your canvas? A tech stack featuring K8S services built in C++, Javascript, Rust, and Python, with PostgreSQL as our stalwart DBMS and Apache Kafka for seamless queuing. Our CI/CD workflows dance to the beats of Nix, Jenkins, and GitLab CI. And here’s the kicker – we breathe life into our infrastructure with the magic of Ansible and Terraform, sculpting a high-scale Kubernetes-based microservices haven within the realms of AWS cloud.

Role Requirements

  • You have commercial experience working with K8S and any of following: Jenkins, GitLab, Grafana, AWS, ELK logging stack, Prometheus
  • You are a key player maintaining and augmenting our existing and new backend services
  • You have a solid knowledge of cloud-based application and services architecture patterns, the capabilities of several tech stacks - including several languages
  • You have fundamental system administration on linux-based Operating system
  • You are proficient in Python and Bash scripting
  • You have commercial work experience using PostgreSQL database, Kafka, Redis data store
  • You enjoy collaborating with other team members to create solutions
  • You are great at balancing the act between perfect/idealistic design and the pragmatic need of the short term goals
  • You actively help defining and reinforcing the standard for engineering best practices
  • You explore and promote the next big technologies that will keep the company’s edge
  • You have 4 years+ experience in DevOps engineering
