Senior Database Engineer - Oracle

Reporting into Lead Software Engineer, in this this role you will develop and maintain our database systems and applications within an agreed timescale and quality.

You will collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to provide technical support and identify new requirements.

What you'll do?

  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle. Responsible for everything related to database development.
  • Create complex packages, functions, scripts, stored procedures, triggers and data flows to support application development.
  • Troubleshoot database related issues and perform bug fixes in compliance with the Service level agreement.
  • Improve complex code areas and ensure that all the modules perform at their best.
  • Responsible for code quality through review processes and facilitate code review sessions.
  • Provide the necessary support within the team to ensure constant knowledge growth in both technical and product domains. Mentor more junior team members.

What you'll bring:

  • Around 5 years of professional experience with Oracle 12c or higher version and PL/SQL;
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related information technology field;
  • Practical experience of the development lifecycle and methodologies;
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD;
  • Experience with data and schema standards and concepts;
  • Good understand of database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance;
  • Experience communicating updates and resolutions to stakeholders and other partners.
  • Team player;
  • Experience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions;
  • Plan technical solutions;
  • Work level of English;
  • Experience with ETL tools, PostgreSQL and Oracle Apex is considered as a plus.
