Vantiva Connected Home is looking for an Senior Database Administrator to manage Oracle Databases as primary long with MSSQL and MYSQL as secondary. This position is located in Bangalore, India, but will cater to global needs in dozens of Vantiva corporate locations.
Responsibilities
- Full life cycle support of client's database(s). Database system utilizes RAC and non-RAC for OLTP and warehouse, Active Data Guard for DR, partitioning on 12c and 19c on premises.
- Responsible for database backups, design, development, testing, and performance tuning.
- Will work with developers to design and build new structures to support application enhancements and promote database changes throughout the Dev, UAT and Prod databases.
- Responsible for quarterly patch applications (PSU) and periodic database upgrades with minimal downtime in database environment.
- Required to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and be available to perform periodic after-hours support.
- Proactively think toward automation of repeated tasks.
- Responsible to support of E-business suite
- Will work on other RDBMS like MSSQL and MySQL
- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system
- To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure Support/implementation - Database platforms (Oracle, MS SQL, MYSQL, etc.) preferably with multiple client's landscape and technology landscapes (Windows Server, Unix, Linux).
- Experienced in supporting heterogeneous IT environment for large Manage Service and System Integration accounts.
- Experience on Oracle EBS is a MUST
- Experience on DB administration on cloud will be added advantage.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and enabling the tech engineers within DB technologies.
- Knowledge on Oracle Exadata, Golden Gate etc.
- Oracle RAC, Oracle performance tuning, Datagaurd certifications are preferable.
- Proficiency in working with both physical and virtual teams
