About Your Future Team

You will be working as a (Senior) Data Warehouse Engineer in our Data Team working closely with experts in data platform engineering, data warehousing and analytics. Our main goal is to ensure the data availability for internal and external processes and to deliver exceptional analyses to ensure excellent business decision-making. We work closely together with our five cross-functional business units as well as our internal functional teams. Your main contributions would be to ensure we have a state-of-the-art data warehouse platform on which the team can deliver the reports and insights needed by our product and functional teams.

Your Role 

  • Design dimensional data models and data marts  for the core business processes 
  • Implement  challenging ELT pipelines in the cloud
  • Constantly improve the performance of the analytics platform by query analyzing and database optimisation
  • Manage multiple Snowflake accounts in a data mesh environment
  • Explore and set up tools for data governance and data reliability  to support the analytics platform
  • Document the processes and models of the Analytics Platform and enable knowledge sharing

We'd love to see 

  • You have worked for a couple of years in a similar role as an Engineer in Analytics, Data-warehouse or  BI environment.
  • You have solid hands on development and database administration experience with cloud data platforms (preferably Snowflake)
  • You have experience modelling dimensional data models and you are familiar with data-warehouse principles (incremental loading, slowly changing dimensions etc.)
  • You have very good SQL skills and experience with at least one programming language (preferably Python)
  • You have been already working with data transformation tools (preferably DBT)
  • You are familiar with the AWS services (S3, Airflow) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • You are a problem-solver and like to take responsibility to drive topics by getting to your key stakeholders
  • You are a team player and like challenges (those are not just  buzzwords, we really mean it)
  • You communicate well in written and verbal English
  • You like working in an agile, fast-paced environment
