Senior Data Scientist - Computer Vision and NLP

Duties:

• Design and implement computer vision and NLP algorithms to automate the processing of business documents.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure that our solutions are scalable, efficient, and effective.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights that drive business decisions.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in computer vision and NLP research, and incorporate new techniques into our solutions as appropriate.
• Communicate technical concepts and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists on the team (no direct reports).
• Build and deploy systems for automating business processes.
• Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements:

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 3 years of experience in a data science related occupation, with a focus on NLP.
• Requires 2 years of experience with all of the following skills:
• Python and related data science libraries including Pandas, NumPy, Sklearn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Core-NLP, and Gensim; big data frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark; cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure; common NLP algorithms including CRF, BiLSTM, and transformers; generating IP in the form of patents and publications; developing high performance named entity recognition algorithms for the purpose of extracting key information from business documents; and working with large datasets and using SQL and NoSQL databases.
