As a member of the Bureau of Technology, your mission will be to design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance our marketplace. You will join our AI team, which functions as our Data Science & Machine Learning incubator, where we explore new AI applications and bring the most promising ones to production.
Currently, our primary focus is on utilizing generative AI at scale to address needs related to customer care (sentiment analysis, agent helping tools, etc.) and improving the management of our catalog.

Here is an overview of what we are currently doing:


What you will do:

  • Own the results of high-impact projects covering problem definition, metrics development, data extraction and manipulation, implementation of analytical/statistical models and presentation to stakeholders
  • Identify company problems and opportunities that can be tackled through AI; develop evidence of the validity and utility of data science solutions (e.g. through prototypes or MVP); collaborate with relevant teams to design and build the product features that leverage it
  • Hands-on development, productionisation, and operation of machine learning models and pipelines at scale, including both batch and real-time use cases, structured and unstructured data
  • Contribute to the development of the AI community within the company by promoting best practices and sharing your work internally to raise awareness about AI capabilities
  • Regularly present work internally (demo, internal conferences,...) to technical, engineering and product stakeholders to acculturate the business to AI related topics

Your Background:

  • At least 6 years of industry experience in data science or related fields, with a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Sciences, or Engineering
  • Proven track record of leading impactful initiatives to develop data science products that solve business problems
  • In-depth understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including best practices, algorithms and domains (e.g. time series prediction, NLP, computer vision and recommendation)
  • Strong coding skills in Python and familiarity with software engineering principles of testing, code review and deployment
  • Experience in designing, prototyping, scaling and launching data science products, with a focus on balancing execution, research and evolutionary design
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop scientists, engineers and peers
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
  • Curiosity, proactivity, humility and team spirit
