As a Senior Data Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive testing system that ensures the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data. You will define testing standards and processes, and play a pivotal role in training and mentoring team members on best practices in data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build an end-to-end testing system for data validation and quality assurance.
- Develop and maintain testing standards and procedures to ensure data integrity across all systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data usage and implications for data quality.
- Implement data quality metrics and monitoring systems to proactively identify issues.
- Lead the creation of a data quality dashboard to communicate data quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Train and mentor team members on data quality concepts, tools, and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data quality and testing methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data quality and testing technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data quality engineering, data management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
- Experience with data quality tools and technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting languages (Python, R, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
