We’re looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer with expertise in data engineering, modeling, governance, and quality. In this role, you will design high-quality data models and ensure the integrity, governance, and accuracy of our data ecosystem. You’ll work with cutting-edge tools like BigQuery, Glue, Athena, and Airflow to build scalable pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights.Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models to support reporting and analytics needs, with a focus on performance and governance.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for transforming raw data into well-organized models, using cloud-based technologies like BigQuery, Athena, and Glue.
- Implement data governance and data quality frameworks to ensure that our data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across all sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to understand business needs and develop models that enable insightful reporting and analytics.
- Integrating and combining data from different sources into standarized source-independent data model.
- Communication with business units to understand requirements and business questions and translate the needs into the data models.
- Ensure compliance with best practices in data governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Automate data validation and quality checks using frameworks like Great Expectations.
- Drive continuous improvements in query performance, data modeling, and pipeline efficiency.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate modern cloud solutions (BigQuery) into the overall data architecture.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer, with 5+ years focusing on data modeling and governance.
- Expertise in building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines in BigQuery, Glue, and Airflow.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with designing dimensional models (star, snowflake schemas) for performance at scale.
- Solid knowledge of BigQuery and Athena.
- Highly proficient in implementing data quality standards and developing robust data monitoring frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and privacy frameworks to ensure compliance.
- Experience working in an e-commerce related industry and a high level understanding of different analytics use cases, for example, in Marketing, CRM, SEO, and Finance.
- Hands-on experience with data quality frameworks such as Great Expectations or similar tools.
- Experience working with large datasets and optimizing queries for high performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
