Senior Data Engineer (Healthcare data exp req) Description

Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to add to their team near Meriden, CT. In this hybrid role, you will design, build, and maintain complex data pipelines and processes that support both real-time and batch data integrations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in high-volume data environments and have strong familiarity with healthcare data standards such as ADT, FHIR, and EDI 837. This role offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative data team on mission-critical projects that directly support hospitals and healthcare organizations across the region. To be successful, you must be hands-on, solution-oriented, and comfortable working with structured and semi-structured data across multiple platforms. Senior Data Engineer (Healthcare data exp req) Responsibilities

•    Design and build scalable data pipelines and high-volume data integration processes
•    Intake, manage, and optimize structured and semi-structured data from diverse sources
•    Create and maintain database objects including tables, queries, and stored procedures
•    Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve data system issues and logic errors
•    Document and track changes across data workflows and system enhancements
•    Support existing data integrations and provide backup for team members
•    Develop and optimize stored procedures, tables, and database operations
•    Translate business requirements into technical design specifications
•    Support real-time and batch data processing across structured and semi-structured sources
•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendor teams on data platform solutions

Senior Data Engineer (Healthcare data exp req) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree required
•    5+ years of experience building scalable high-performance data systems required
•    Experience with ETL/integration tools like Talend, Rhapsody, or SSIS required
•    MSSQL or PostgreSQL experience required
•    Healthcare data (ADT, EHR, FHIR, EDI 837) experience required
•    Object-oriented programming experience (C++, Java, or C#) required
•    Proficiency with scripting languages, especially Python, required
