Here’s what you’ll do at BrightInsight:
- Collaborate with data leads and platform engineering teams (frontend, backend, and DevOps) to build data solutions that support cutting-edge healthcare products.
- Develop robust batch and real-time data pipelines using advanced frameworks on Google Cloud Platform.
- Leverage Python for data processing, including transfer, cleaning, normalization, transformation, aggregation, and visualization.
- Design and implement scalable data sets, tables, and SQL queries to support advanced analytics and machine learning models.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability across data pipelines serving multiple customers, optimizing for efficiency at scale.
- Uphold the highest standards of data security and compliance, ensuring continuous adherence to HIPAA, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks.
What you’ll need to thrive in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data warehouse technologies.
- Expertise in Python and SQL, with the ability to build efficient and scalable solutions.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with databases (RDBMS and NoSQL) and data warehouse tools like BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, and Synapse.
- Proficiency with data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Fivetran, AWS Glue, or Talend.
- Knowledge of dashboarding and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
- An understanding of Gen AI, Large Language Models (Gemini, Open AI), and their role in data engineering.
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
