At Aiimi, we're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team, shaping the future of data-driven innovation. You will collaborate with some of our major clients to support a project aimed at enhancing outcomes for their customer base.
As the Senior Data Engineer your primary responsibilities will include creating and querying graph databases, performing data engineering and reconciliation, and coding for ETL processes. You should have experience with similar agile and innovative projects at scale. Additionally, you will leverage your knowledge of ontologies—especially top-level ontologies focusing on mereology—as well as your experience with decentralized master data management approaches and data visualisation.
A day in the life of an Aiimi Senior Data Engineer:
- Liaising with our clients so that their information can be used in context, be relevant and be easily consumed by those who need it.
- Creating new triggers and associated interventions to affect future outcomes.
- Ensuring new models, reports and data architectures are promoted and published to centralised self-service data warehouses as required.
- Data engineering, analysis and building machine learning mode.
- Design and implement data architectures using ontologies, including top-level ontologies with a focus on mereology (part-whole relationships).
- Lead decentralised master data management approaches to ensure data consistency across multiple systems.
- Query graph databases to model and connect complex datasets.
- Build and optimise ETL pipelines and manage data reconciliation workflows, ensuring clean, reliable data for downstream applications.
- Use your skills to visualise data insights effectively, translating technical data into actionable business intelligence.
- Work in an agile, fast-paced environment, using innovative approaches to deliver large-scale data projects from conception to completion.
- Developing new and innovative ways of working in order to drive efficiencies in the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data engineering, with strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of ontologies, especially top-level ontologies and mereology.
- Proven experience in decentralised master data management approaches.
- Extensive experience in graph databases—from creation to advanced querying.
- Expertise in ETL coding, data engineering, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience leading projects of similar scale, using agile and innovative methodologies.
