For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Data Analytics Engineer - Marketing (Contractor), remotely from Bulgaria.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines to support marketing and business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable, automated processes that enhance the flow of data and improve reporting and decision-making capabilities. By leveraging your expertise in modern data tools, you will contribute to the development of a data mesh architecture while ensuring data integrity and optimal pipeline performance. You will also troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to improve data infrastructure, while collaborating with data analysts to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
Accountabilities:
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to enable seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications, including creating DBT models, reports, and tests.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data models and dashboards, ensuring they meet business needs and are optimized for performance.
- Conduct data quality checks and implement preventative measures to address data issues early in the process.
- Contribute to the governance of the data warehouse, ensuring best practices in data quality, coding, testing, and documentation.
- Provide troubleshooting support and offer solutions to technical challenges during the architecture and design phases.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in Snowflake or similar data warehouse technologies.
- Proven experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Apache Airflow, Fivetran, and Looker.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced queries and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with data modeling and the ability to optimize data models.
- Experience in working with large-scale datasets in an agile environment.
- Ability to document technical solutions and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.
- Experience with marketing attribution and media mix modeling is a plus.
