Marketplace is hiring! We are expanding our Analytics function in the US to bolster our existing teams in the UK and India. We are seeking a Senior Insights Analyst to join our dynamic and growing Insights team. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in SEM analytics, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights for our paid marketing team.
Role Purpose:
You will be dedicated to our paid marketing team to provide in-depth analysis on our SEM activity to help them make decisions to improve profit performance. You will also represent the wider Data Team and support them with any data-related query they may have. You will collaborate closely with the other insights and BI & operational analysts, who are based across India, UK, and USA. You will become the data expert for the SEM team and will provide recommendations based on data trends and patterns.

Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary data contact for the SEM team, working with the team leads and team members to gather requirements, prioritise projects and communicate progress on a regular basis.
- Contribute to reporting and ad-hoc data requests.
- Investigate performance, trends, forecasts, and bugs across multiple verticals, categories, and user journeys - reporting back to stakeholders with recommendations
- Communicate and answer questions based on your findings and recommendations to an audience of technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple seniority levels.
- Collaborate with the SEM product manager to understand new product initiatives - supporting the technical data requirements.
- Manage time effectively and prioritise tasks based on value-driven to the business
- Strike the balance between maintaining high standards of analytical work and delivering value consistently.
- Long term goal: Accelerate the organisation from basic reporting and analysis by working alongside the planned data science team.
About You:
- At least six (6) years of data analytics experience
- At least two (2) years experience analysing SEM datasets and working with SEM stakeholders
- At least two (2) years of experience with BI visualisation tools (we use Tableau)
- At least two (2) years of experience using and querying raw data from a web analytics platform, ideally Google Analytics
- Strong SQL skills, including unnesting, window functions, unions, joins and regular expressions (regex). Experience with BigQuery is an advantage.
- Ability to translate findings into recommendations to stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to translate business needs into effective visualisations and reports for business consumption
- Ability to communicate data to non-technical audiences through the use of reports and visualisations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working remotely and collaboratively with teammates across multiple geographies and time zones
