Wish.com, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a problem solver who is excited about using data and technology to build best in class processes, technology and business. The candidate should be comfortable in a fast paced environment where the answers are not always easily available. Moreover the candidate should feel energized by an environment where decision making is intentionally distributed, speed, data and strategy are highly valued and colleagues at all levels hold each other at unusually high standards of impact on behalf of Quince’s customers and partners.
Quince is seeking a talented individual to be part of the Returns organization. In this role the candidate will help form the strategy and models to decrease returns as well as decrease the cost of returns to Quince while improving the customer experience. In order to do so they will automatically become experts on the data across the whole Quince platform and business and help decide where to invest more efforts from the team as well as build models to optimize both the customers’ and vendors’ experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leverage data to build key insights for business, product and tech stakeholders
- Automate insights generation to increase speed of decision making
- Plan, execute and analyze key A/B tests on customers and vendors experience
- Own strategy and development of daily, weekly and monthly dashboard for reporting within the Returns team as well as to Quince’s leadership
- Prototype models for ad hoc analysis
- Prototype models to improve Quince’s customers and vendors experience
- Perform ad hoc monitoring and investigation into data and reporting issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics)
- 5-7 years relevant experience in data analytics or data science, preferably with a focus on marketplaces or logistics
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to to translate data into business and product insights
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Strong proficiency in Python statistical packages preferred or similar language
- Excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate across business areas and with leadership
- Ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple threads of work in a fast paced environment
- Strong personal work ethic, including personal initiative and ownership
- Preferred: Eastern Time Zone
