About the Role  

The Senior Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in deciphering complex datasets, pinpointing trends, and offering actionable insights to facilitate data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in data analysis, data modelling, and data visualisation. They should exhibit exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. The Senior Data Analyst will work alongside cross-functional teams to extract and transform data, develop analytical models, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance business performance.

What You’ll Do 

  • Transform vague business queries into precise business and technical requirements that guide data analysis and interpretation.
  • Analyse data from diverse sources across various channels, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the process.
  • Leverage reporting and data visualisation tools to identify key performance indicators and create performance tracking summaries for effective monitoring and decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough data investigations to identify and address data quality issues, anomalies, and outliers, ensuring data reliability and consistency.
  • Carry out detailed analysis on customer behaviour, combining structured and unstructured datasets to uncover valuable insights and trends.
  • Develop actionable recommendations based on quantitative analysis, translating findings into strategic initiatives and improvements.
  • Implement statistical models to support marketing strategies and planning, enhancing targeting, segmentation, and campaign optimisation efforts.
  • Provide advanced analytics support for segmentation, campaign optimisation, and personalisation initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to drive customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and insights to senior management and stakeholders in a clear, concise, and impactful manner, facilitating informed decision-making and driving business success.

What You’ll Need  

  • A solid background in quantitative analysis or engineering, with a degree in Actuarial, Statistics, Computing, or Business (Marketing).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, preferably within the CRM domain.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Python, Databricks, or R.
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools, such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Strong grasp of database concepts and data management is essential.
  • Experience with cloud-based database and analytics services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Understanding of business processes and data flows that generate and utilise data.
  • A curious mindset with a willingness to learn and an interest in emerging data/digital technologies.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent English communication skills.
  • Capability to translate complex analytics methodologies and results into understandable terms for a non-technical audience.
  • A strong analytical mind with meticulous attention to detail.
