Senior Data Analyst

**This position is contingent on contract award**

First Division Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer in Dahlgren, VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analysis, data warehousing, integration capabilities, and business intelligence strategies, providing technical guidance and leading data analysis projects to enhance operational decision-making.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets, defining data requirements, developing logical data models, and ensuring seamless data integration for enterprise systems, financial processes, and human resource applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support strategic decision-making for the DoN.
  • Develop and implement data warehousing and integration solutions, ensuring optimal data retrieval and performance.
  • Define and develop requirements for data structures, loading specifications, and validation processes.
  • Design and maintain logical data models, data interfaces, SQL queries, and performance tuning methodologies.
  • Support legacy data conversion and migration efforts to integrate new and existing systems.
  • Provide technical guidance on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Working Capital Fund (WCF), financial, and human resource system methods for data warehousing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and improve data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

    • Six (6) years of professional experience in data analysis, design, and development for data warehousing and integration.
    • Experience with:
      • Logical data models, data interface specifications, structured query language (SQL), and performance optimization.
      • Data validation specifications and enterprise-level application design.
      • Financial and human resource system integration strategies.
    • Strong expertise in data warehouse development, legacy system conversion, and designing structured data load specifications.
    • Active Secret clearance.
    • One of the following IT certifications:
      • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)
      • Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security)
      • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting DoD or Navy data analytics programs.
    • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions and advanced analytics platforms.
    • Strong background in business intelligence tools, predictive modeling, and data visualization.
    • Working knowledge of data security compliance, including DoD data policies and cybersecurity best practices.
