The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Data Analyst to join our growing global Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will play a critical role in empowering data-driven decision-making across various departments within Deputy, with a particular focus on marketing and go-to-market strategies. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business growth, optimize marketing campaigns, and improve our product offerings.

Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data from multiple sources, including marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and product usage data, to extract meaningful insights and identify trends.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders, particularly related to marketing performance, customer acquisition, and product adoption.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, identify areas for improvement, and measure the return on investment (ROI) of marketing initiatives.

Data Modeling and Interpretation:

  • Build and maintain data models to support business analysis and reporting needs, particularly related to customer segmentation, lead scoring, and campaign optimization.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data analysis and reporting related to marketing and go-to-market strategies.

Data Quality and Governance:

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used for analysis and reporting, particularly data related to marketing and customer interactions.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in data analysis and reporting for marketing and go-to-market strategies.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Effectively communicate complex data analysis concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including marketing and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, marketing managers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide data-driven solutions for marketing and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, with a focus on the impact of data-driven insights on marketing performance and business growth.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a data analyst role, with a strong focus on marketing and go-to-market analytics, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience analyzing marketing data, including campaign performance, customer segmentation, lead generation, and conversion rates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to extract insights from complex data and translate them into actionable recommendations for marketing and go-to-market strategies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Thoughtspot).
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience, particularly marketing and sales professionals.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems is highly desirable.
