Two Six Technologies is hiring a Senior Cyber security Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the implementation of security-sensitive software regarding Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA), and will also act as point-of-contact for mitigation and implementation of code compliance findings. The engineer will serve as the subject matter expert for software security, working closely with development teams to promote strong software security practices and code validation processes. The engineer will report directly to the security lead.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Implementing security-sensitive components
  • Auditing existing security components
  • Interpreting and devising mediation strategies for code security findings
  • Advising development teams on secure software architecture
  • Developing baseline security unit and integration testing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Git, SVN, or CVS
  • Minimum 3 years experience with static code analysis tools
  • Minimum 3 years experience with docker, docker compose, or other containerization tools
  • Minimum 3 years experience with Linux/UNIX environments
  • Minimum 1 year experience discovering and/or mitigating unpublished software vulnerabilities
  • DoD 8570 baseline certification meeting IAT Level II standards or higher

Nice To Have: 

  • (ISC)2 CSSLP, GIAC GWEB, CompTIA CySA+, or similar advanced cybersecurity certification
  • Experience developing AAA systems
  • Experience with SAST, DAST, and other code validation methods
  • Experience with any of the following: Postgres, Bash, Docker, DAG build tools (Bazel, Buck, etc)
  • General understanding of networking concepts

Clearance qualifications:

  • US Citizen with active clearance or ability to obtain a clearance up to polygraph
