Senior Copywriter - 10 Month FTC

Here at Gousto we have an exciting opportunity in the form of a Senior Copywriter to join our award winning Creative Team on a 10 - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Reporting into the Head of Creative you will be responsible for managing a small but mighty team of Copywriters. 

We've got some big marketing and development plans and we're looking for a Senior Copywriter brimming with ideas to help bring them to life. As well as tackling the big projects, we'd like to find someone who's just as keen to put their heart into the little touches too.

If you are passionate about all things Food, have extensive Copywriting experience and love line managing and mentoring this could be the perfect opportunity! Core Responsibilities

  • Managing And Developing The Skills of our talented copy team, feeding back on their work and signing off BAU projects 
  • Being creative. Consistently coming up with original, creative ideas and taking them from initial scamps, through concept development and execution to final delivery 
  • Developing and executing too high standards, on big and small creative briefs, for campaigns, packaging, events and all digital channels
  • Reporting into our Head of Creative and supporting with creative team initiatives
  • Collaborating with your fellow creatives (copywriters, designers, photographers), brand team members (social media, PR, brand managers) and folks from all over the company
  • Developing, promoting and protecting the Gousto brand both internally and externally 
  • Pitching(creative and process improvement) ideas to key stakeholders across the business 
  • Project-managing multiple briefs all the way through the creative process, whilst working closely with brief owners and stakeholders to meet all deadlines
  • Focussing on personal development to learn new skills, using available resources such as YCN and LinkedIn Learning 
  • Bringing positive energy and a creative point of view to the brand community and Gousto as a whole 

Who You Are 

  • A specialist in photography preferably with experience of working for a Food, D2C, Ecommerce, Retail company or start up. 
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and a good working knowledge of video editing software would be highly beneficial  
  • Strong line management experience either managing Photographers, Food Stylist or in house Production Team 
  • Ability to work alongside and lead a strong team, including food stylists and lead the production on a photography set 
  • Ability to shoot multiple recipes and products to style guidelines at a high quality at pace 
  • Exceptional organisation, communication and presentation skills 
  • A natural ability to build great relationships with people from across the business
