Senior Controller/Controller Consultant

Launch Finance is looking for a Senior Controller Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial management, preferably within the startup and technology sectors. As a Senior Controller Consultant, you will provide strategic financial guidance and oversee the accounting operations. This is a unique opportunity to work with various clients, driving financial excellence and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial statement preparation and monthly close processes for multiple clients.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance transparency and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with client teams to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.
• Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and clients.
• Support clients in budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Deliver financial reporting and analysis tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, with preferred concentrations in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; holding a CPA designation is highly favored.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar.
• Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis, along with a proven track record of constructing financial models.
• Exceptional leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in a startup environment and a strong understanding of the SaaS and technology (hardware/software) sectors are essential.
