The Senior Contract Manager in the Sugar Backward Integration Program (BIP) will be responsible for managing all aspects of document control related to supplier pre-qualification, tender preparation, bid reviews, and contract administration. This role requires an experienced professional who can effectively oversee the documentation processes that support procurement, supplier management, and contract lifecycle management within the organization.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the documentation and process management for supplier pre-qualification, ensuring that all necessary documents are collected, reviewed, and approved in accordance with company standards.
• Ensure all suppliers meet the required qualifications by managing the documentation process, including due diligence checks and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare, review, and finalize tender documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Organize and manage the tender review process, ensuring that all stakeholders have the necessary documentation for thorough evaluation.
• Organize and document the bid review process, ensuring all submissions are properly logged, assessed, and stored.
• Facilitate the supplier selection process by providing accurate documentation and records for decision-making, ensuring transparency and adherence to company policies.
• Manage and administer ongoing contracts, keeping track of all contractual obligations, deliverables, and timelines.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of handover certificates and other close-out documents, ensuring they are properly archived.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in document control, with a focus on procurement and contract management, preferably within (agribusiness) manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Deep understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Expertise in document control processes, particularly within procurement and contract management environments.
• Proficiency in document management systems (DMS), contract management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Certifications: Certification in Procurement, Contract Management, or Document Control is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and other industry specific documentation practices is beneficial.
• Knowledge/Certification in FEDIC would be an added advantage.
