The Senior Content Executive develops and oversees marketing content strategies and deliverables – including but not limited to blog articles, social media posts, web copy, ad creatives, brochures, and videos – for our partner universities.
They work closely with Marketing Managers, SEO and PPC Specialists, Content Producers (internal and external), Sales, and the Content Manager to ideate, execute, and manage content plans and roll-outs, ensuring the output meets the designated objective and performance targets; aligns with each partner’s messaging and creative strategy; is delivered on time; and, maintains high quality standards.
The Senior Content Executive’s core responsibilities include conducting product, market, and creative research; creating briefs and written content pieces; formulating messaging and creative strategies; and, managing various deliverables. They keep up to date with content best practices in digital and traditional marketing; champion innovation and continuous improvement; and, are confident brand and product guardians.
Their work drives website traffic and rankings, increases follower count, builds brand trust, and crucially, helps consumers find the products that fit their needs.
This role requires someone with:

Key Accountabilities:
- Leads the development and execution of content strategies and deliverables across partner universities for existing programmes and new launches
- Manages and contributes to the production of high-quality and high-performance marketing assets, including but not limited to websites, brochures, SEO-driven blog articles, social media, paid media ads, EDMs, and videos
- Conducts product, market, and creative research to provide a foundation for content production
- Creates clear and comprehensive briefs for Content Producers (internal and external) to execute on
- Develops marketing blueprints to establish target personas, messaging and creative direction, and product and brand identity and USPs
- Writes persuasive marketing copy and sources design references
- Ensures deliveries are always on time and up to standard
- Champions innovative approaches and continuous improvement in content production
- Collaborates with internal and external teams to deliver on content requests
- Analyses and acts on content performance reports and feedback, and monitors content performance
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- 6+ years’ professional experience in:
- Developing and leading content strategy
- End-to-end content execution for copy and design work
- Social media strategy and management
- Copywriting and editing
- Marketing project management
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (favourable)
- Experience in using various content management systems
- Experience in leading and mentoring project and creative teams
- Advanced working knowledge of and experience in using Google Analytics, Facebook, and LinkedIn to monitor and analyse content performance
- Proficient in digital marketing terms and content performance metrics to meet strategic goals
- An understanding of the higher education sector (favourable)
Skills and Competencies

- Highly proficient in the English language; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese a plus
