Model N is hiring a Senior Consultant within our Rebate and Fees Business Services team. This role plays a critical part into successfully supporting Commercial Payer Rebate and Fee processing, including pharmacy and medical benefit rebates for our life science customer base. The main job responsibilities of the role include accountability and responsibility of final client deliverables, overseeing Analysts work, and ensuring accurate and timely contract administration including contract maintenance, membership/plan management, formulary and data validations, verification of contract compliance, and rebate & fee payment processing. In this role, the Commercial Rebate & Fee Senior Consultant is also responsible for the development of their assigned analysts, continuing to build their knowledge of Commercial Managed Care & Medicare Part D contracting. This role can be fully remote.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor assigned Analysts.
  • Responsible for setup and maintenance of customer contracts and data management within Model N systems.
  • Ensure rebates and fees are processed and paid according to contractual requirements.
  • Analyze calculations for consistency and accuracy, resolve data or plan issues, create operational reports, and support reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Research formulary status, calculation variances and resolve disputes.
  • Understand pharmaceutical contracts and key business issues; facilitating responses to non-routine situations and events; consulting with managers and key stakeholders to make well-informed decisions.
  • Prepare payment packages, reports, and client deliverables.
  • Collaborate with GP Pricing and GTN teams, participating in cross-functional meetings providing insights and information as required.
  • Comply with all SOC controls and internal processes and procedures.
  • Managing ongoing client relationships and interface with clients to resolve specific issues.
  • Respond to customer and client inquiries regarding processing status, reconciliation questions, data discrepancies and payment status.
  • Support ongoing software product testing.
  • Continually strive to improve our business services processes and programs to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with the pharmaceutical industry
  • Must be able to comprehend and/or learn complex contract language and government compliance requirements while retaining, building upon, and applying this knowledge daily.
  • High degree of analytical skills
  • Experience working in mandated deadline environment and effective management of multiple client assignments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High accuracy rate and attention to detail
  • Competency with MS Office and strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to produce client-ready deliverables to a high-level professional clientele.
  • Ability to solve complex data issues with attention to detail.
  • Technical ability to understand underlying data structures and deal with large amounts of data.
  • Ability to deliver required periodic results with a high degree of accuracy and minimal management review.
