Participate in and/or lead cyber and privacy projects such as:
- CISO Advisory & Governance
- Cyber risk and maturity assessments
- Cyber strategy and framework development
- Cyber program project management
- Regulatory compliance
- Virtual CISO and CISO transition support
- Privacy and Data Protection
- Privacy program design and implementation
- Privacy risk and compliance assessments
- Data governance and classification
- Privacy and data protection impact assessments (PIAs and DPIAs)
- Data loss prevention
- Security Risk Management & Program Development
- Incident response
- Business and IT resiliency
- Vendor / third party risk management
- Other cyber and privacy programs, policies, and standards
- Cyber and Privacy risk management
- Process reviews and audits, focused on cyber security and privacy implications
- Compliance and control testing
Ideal experience & knowledge
- 2 years+ of professional services experience in a consulting firm, or commensurate experience in risk management, privacy, cybersecurity, or audit departments
- Working knowledge of industry standards, frameworks, and regulations (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA, CSA, CSC Top 20 Critical Security Controls)
- Understanding of the components of a comprehensive security and /or privacy program, including governance, policy, organizational design, awareness and training, architecture, technologies, processes, and controls
- Working knowledge of security and internal controls, risk management
- Professionalism and discretion in interacting with executives and clients
- Polished verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm, entrepreneurialism, and a great sense of humor!
Desired Education & Certifications
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in management information systems (MIS), computer information systems (CIS), accounting, business, cybersecurity or other technical discipline
- Not essential but ideally S+ or AWS practitioner
