Senior Consultant - Advisory Team Italy (Bologna - Milan)

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Italian Advisory Team (BOLOGNA and / or MILAN) who works on projects, in Italy and abroad, for public and private clients such as local public transport operators, concessionaires, investment funds, financial entities and public bodies.

Some non-exhaustive examples of projects include:

  • Strategic, economic and financial advice to transport operators or public bodies related to the concession of public transport services;
  • Support to public transport operators in the preparation of technical and economic feasibility studies aimed at providing the best strategy for the fleet renewal/acquisition, with focus on sustainability and reduced carbon footprint;
  • Commercial and technical due diligence for private investors related to public transport infrastructure projects;
  • Support in the submission of applications to the Ministry of Transport (MIT) for the financing of mass rapid transport systems (preparation of transport studies, Cost / Benefit analysis).

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated, self-starting, problem-solver and collaborative professional, with experience in managing analytically-driven projects and a keen interest in the bus and rail sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality advice to our clients across a range of projects in the bus and rail market. The role may also extend to conducting wider advisory work in the transport sectors in accordance with the individual’s skillsets.

Key requisites are:

  • Fluency in both Italian and English (written and spoken) is a must . Additional language capabilities would be an advantage.
  • Engineering or Economics related degree, or equivalent experience with infrastructure and transport projects;
  • 5-8 years of experience in the transport sector;
  • Knowledge of the local public transport industry, both rail and bus;
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a good knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel);
  • Good written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details to a non-technical audience and to write reports and presentations in a logical and well-structured way;
  • Ability to work in different teams, as well as independently.

Previous experiences in transport consultancy services will be positively evaluated.
