Senior Concept Designer (Hybrid)

The Senior Concept Designer will focus on enhancing user experiences through structure, graphics, material finishes, lighting, and digital elements to create memorable engagements. This position requires a deep understanding of structural design, graphic design, experiential design, environmental design, space planning, and wayfinding to develop strategic design solutions. The Senior Concept Designer will collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand their needs and goals to provide creative solutions that span the entire event to individual activations and engagements.

Key Contributions of the Role

  • Create conceptual designs and some detailing of experiential and exhibits projects for trade shows.
  • Provide design expertise to establish a distinctive “Look of the Show” or “Client Branding” graphic design.
  • Create custom graphics and promotional literature pieces as needed.
  • Supply the production team with graphic designs for various projects as needed.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with company structural and graphic standards.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team and other departments to ensure alignment with client needs.
  • Prepare files for print production, including correct file format, fonts, etc.
  • Oversee the print production process to ensure design integrity, color accuracy, and image quality.
  • Lead discovery discussions with clients and internal teams where ideas and design intent are clearly presented.
  • Provide expertise in event ideation and concept development, transforming client objectives into engaging, strategic, and visually compelling experiences.
  • Guide the creative process from ideation to execution, ensuring that design concepts align with event goals, brand messaging, and attendee engagement strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years designing for the tradeshow, event, exhibit, or similar industry.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience using a professional rendering application such as 3Ds Max with Chaos or VRay rendering engines.
  • Comprehensive skills in 3D visualization, ranging from conceptual sketches to highly realistic renderings.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements within tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
  • Self-motivated and passionate with a strong work ethic and excellent time management.
  • Ability to pivot from independent problem-solving to team collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; or relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.
