Senior Computer Vision Engineer - Autonomous vehicles

Poznań, Poland
Full-Time

Take the next step and become part of developing the technology behind the next generation of autonomous vehicles! We are now looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Computer Vision Engineer to lead the development of our perception stack for a unique 3D sensor technology, including event cameras. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize algorithms for object recognition, tracking, and other critical tasks, with a particular focus on safety applications and low latency.

You will also work with advanced technologies such as radar, AI, machine learning, and laser to create innovative safety systems that anticipate and proactively address potential hazards. Part of your responsibilities will include designing and implementing data collection systems and procedures to gather sensor data in real-world environments, ensuring that the data is sufficiently diverse and comprehensive for training and validation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers to integrate the perception stack into a complete system.

We are looking for candidates with a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, specializing in computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, or robotics. You have at least 3 years of industrial experience developing computer vision algorithms for real-world applications, preferably in the automotive or robotics sector.

You are proficient in programming languages such as Python and C++, and you have experience working with libraries like OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. You are familiar with training and testing models on GPUs as well as deploying them on edge devices such as Nvidia Jetson platforms.

You have a solid understanding of fundamental concepts in computer vision, including feature extraction, object recognition, tracking, and detection. Experience working with 3D sensor technologies (such as event cameras, LiDAR, and depth cameras) and processing point clouds is highly desirable. Furthermore, you are well-versed in software development best practices, including CI/CD, version control, unit testing, and code optimization.

We value excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work both independently and in team-oriented environments, and strong communication skills for presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

At AFRY, you will enjoy a secure employment with over 19,000 colleagues spread across 50 countries, all highly skilled in their areas of expertise. Our hope is that you will learn as much from us as we will from you. We hope that you want to be part of our mission to create a sustainable society by developing innovative technology and design solutions. Ultimately, it all starts with you—someone who wants to make a difference.
