One of the key areas requiring science-based decision-making is climate policy and country transitions towards Net Zero Emissions. As countries are expected to enhance its climate ambitions in alignment with the 1.5°C scenario, national climate policy is becoming increasingly vital and must be supported by robust data and analysis. In this regard, WRI Indonesia in collaboration with both national and sub-national governments has been developing climate mitigation and adaptation policies, as well as scenarios for a just and fair transitions towards Net Zero Emissions, drawing on our expertise in policy modeling to deliver ambitious yet actionable climate strategies. We also assist the government in establishing monitoring systems to track the implementation of climate policies effectively. Additionally, we are expanding our focus on just transition issues by incorporating critical minerals as essential components of the energy transition.
