Scope:
We are looking for a senior communication PHY algorithms engineer to join our growing, highly motivated, and skilled algorithms team, to research proprietary wireless communication signals and design modulator, demodulators as part of our counter-drone cyber-based product.
Responsibilities:
- Algorithm development to define modulator and demodulator building blocks to be used by real-time logic engineers for implementation over FPGA, DSP, and FW, including blocks definitions, verification vectors etc.
- Algorithm and modem blocks implementation and simulations in MATLAB, PYTHON and C.
- Guide and support the FW, DSP and FPGA teams for concept implementation and debug.
- Analysis and debug of PHY algorithms behavior and performance improvements.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in algorithms research and design of high-speed modems
- At least MSc/PhD in EE/Communication from a known university, specializing in communications or digital signal processing. Highly experienced BSc candidates will be considered as well.
- Experience with Python (Numpy) or MATLAB – mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in research and design of single carrier or OFDM signals, such as: synchronization, frequency estimation, channel estimation, FEC decoders, MIMO equalizers and noise estimators
- Independent, self-motivated, and multitasking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector signal generators, network analyzer, power meters, etc.
- Knowledge in common wireless protocols, such as WiFi, WiMax, Bluetooth, LTE, etc.
