Senior Commercial Manager,Advertising

We're expanding our presence in India and are on the lookout for a Commercial Manager who is passionate about building customer trust daily, generating new business, and growing long lasting, sustainable partnerships, which will ultimately lead to a better overall traveller experience.

As a commercial manager you will span all commercial verticals but have a specific focus on advertising and data partnerships as part of our global advertising team. You will work collaboratively across commercial teams, take ownership of your work, play a crucial part in building strong relationships with our partners, and will be contributing towards defining and refining our sales and product strategies and sales propositions.

In addition, as this role will be part of a new office in India you will help establish the office in Gurugram and be part of a small but enthusiastic team which we expect to grow alongside the success we see from yourself and the wider team.

 

What will this role encompass?

  • Accountability for building and managing a commercial pipeline of new partners, as well as optimising and existing portfolio of partners across all commercial verticals (flights, hotels, cars, advertising partners including DMOs).
  • Ensuring these partnerships evolve beyond tactical to be sustainable strategic partnerships where Skyscanner is seen as a trusted partner.
  • Analysing and presenting data to help partners make data driven investment decisions
  • Delivery of market level commercial targets.
  • Manage our local sales partner, ensuring deliver to agreed targets and plan
  • Developing and refining our sales proposition and collateral
  • Support the evolution of our office environment and how to support Skyscanner best in India
  • Contribute creatively to the product and commercial development pipeline

What skills and experience do I require?

  • Minimum of 3-5 years  of experience and proven track record of success in a consultative or solution sales environment.
  • A clear interest in sales, business development, partnerships and the desire to succeed. 
  • A strong knowledge of the advertising business and dynamics
  • A network of business contacts must be demonstrable, as well as examples of successful leverage of these relationships.  
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to influence priorities, partner value and overall decision making both internally and externally.
  • Passion and curiosity for the technology industry which extends beyond your academic studies and the travel sector.
  • Commitment to developing your technical and personal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate both in your squad/team and across the business.
  • A fresh perspective and willingness to share ideas and do things differently.
