Job Summary:
The Senior CNG Truck Maintenance Manager oversees all installations, repairs and manages the operations of the company’s Workshop facilities. The Senior CNG Truck Maintenance Manager is also responsible to ensure the workshop's workforce have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to the approved budget.
The Senior Manager is expected to be well-versed in all maintenance processes, HSSE regulations and have good aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve a very high quality of repairs by building in a regimen of quality checks at various stages of repairs/reactivation.
- Strict adherence to manufacturer’s maintenance schedules. Ensure that all Trucks are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedules.
- Analyze current procedures and activities pertaining to quality inspections and quality assurance, identify weak areas and opportunities for their improvement with the aim to enhance the effectiveness of maintenance support.
- Facilitate and promote quality awareness and workplace safety.
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
- Carry out inspections of the CNG Workshop facilities to identify and resolve issues
- Check electrical and hydraulic systems of Trucks to ensure functionality
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Allocate workload and effectively supervise works of maintenance managers and other direct reports
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
Requirements
- B.Eng. or Bsc. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Automobile/Automotive Engineering.
- Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) Qualification
- Msc degree is an added advantage
- Minimum of 15 to 19 years of cognate work experience in this field with at least 9 years of proven experience as maintenance manager or other managerial roles
Skills and Behavior:
- Experienced in planning maintenance operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of electrical systems of CNG Trucks
- Working knowledge of facility machines and equipment
- Ability to run software systems to aid in the development and design of systems, processes and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
